Personal finance, spoken

Say it. Finora waits for you.

Tell it what happened, in the words you'd use with a friend — in English or Sinhala. It drafts the entry. You decide whether it counts.

The AI proposes. It never commits. Nothing reaches your books until you say yes — not once, not for a small amount, not ever.

You said

Record it Edit

A draft, not an entry. It changes nothing until you tap.

How it works

Three steps, and you control the last one

Most finance apps ask you to fill a form. Finora asks you to talk, then shows its working before anything is recorded.

Step one

You say it

“Lunch 2500 from cash.” “Chaminda aiyagen 25,000 gaththa.” Plain speech, either language, no fields to fill.

Step two

It drafts

Finora works out the amount, the category and the account, and shows you exactly what it understood — including what it wasn't sure about.

Step three

You decide

Correct it or confirm it. Only then does it become a real entry, posted by a deterministic engine that does the arithmetic.

“AI proposes; the deterministic finance engine commits.”

The rule the entire codebase is built around.

A model is allowed to be wrong

A language model that is right 99% of the time still gets one entry in a hundred wrong. A ledger's whole value is that it isn't sometimes wrong. So the model never writes to it — it can only ever suggest.

The arithmetic isn't guessed

Every balance, every interest calculation, every split is computed by ordinary code in integer cents, not by a model predicting plausible digits.

Nothing is quietly edited

Entries are never overwritten. A correction is recorded as its own linked reversal, so the history of what you believed, and when, stays intact.

Speaking raises the bar

A misheard number is invisible when there's nothing on screen. So a spoken money change always reads the amount and the person back before recording.

Money between people

The loans that no app tracks

The money that actually moves between friends and family — lent, borrowed, part-repaid, with interest agreed out loud and never written down.

Terms as they were agreed

“1% a day.” “Pay me back when you can.” Finora records the arrangement you actually made, and shows what settles it today.

Interest you can check

Every figure opens into how it was reached, day by day. If you can't verify it, you shouldn't have to trust it.

Your data

Kept close, and deletable

Finora holds your financial records to do its job, and nothing beyond that. No advertising, no analytics SDKs, no data brokers, no selling anything to anyone. Every connection is encrypted, and deleting your account erases it all — from the app, in one place, permanently.
